So I went to San francisco this weekend for the grand opening of the new people building along with Baby the stars shine bright, DokiDoki and Black peace now. All the clothes were so fucking pretty and detailed and LOOKED expensive. I still can't justify spending that much on clothes but boy did I want it all. Baby had a couple new hot pink items too! I wanted them SO bad. Also the designer for baby was there and was interviewed. I regret not recording it. She was very cute and charming and said a lot of nice things about her stuff being brought to america and how the girls that are wearing lolita put together outfits so well and how much it pleases her :) I also missed the fashion show. But oh well. I can live vicariously through Amy Doan and her beautiful blog photos. I'm so jealous of her life haha.

Anyways! So we ate at a couple of really nice places. First being a noodle shop with spicy ramen cooked with sesame seed oil. And now that I have discovered my love for it I want to pour it on everything :\ EVERYTHING. We also tried a Izakaya. I didn't enjoy it as much as my Kappo Honda in Orange county. It was also more expensive :T But it was still nice! And then we had little cakes. Which are my favorite. I had a chocolate raspberry one and a tiny Tira Misu. :9

Also apparently we stayed at a haunted hotel XD and didn't know it until I got home!! I even made ghost jokes the whole time I was there and flickered with the lights in the room because it was a dial instead of a switch. Many ghost noises were made. Sadly I did not hear any ghosts! I probably would have cried if I had xD I don't believe in them until I experience it myself but if I do I WILL PEE. PEE MY PANTIES. I wish I would have taken more pictures because the hotel was really cute and looked very old. It even had old school keys for your room! I was all OH REAL KEYS? COOL!

Here are pictures from my trip if you'd like to see :)

I'm not adding anyone new to my facebook sorry!

It sounds like you had a lot of fun. I wish I could go *3*
maybe next year! aha

the place looks pretty/cute too, from your pictures. It's cool to see that sort of thing being localized in America.

I tried to comment on Facebook, and then I realized that you have a different account now!

I miss Japan Town. It was really awesome, and there's nothing like it here on the east coast. I used to love buying those little candy toys. One of my most prized toys is a little candy toy from San Fransisco. Tiny rubber Kamen Rider!

Also, the Kinokuniya there is awesome. I picked up some manga while I was there, and I grabbed a book to send to a mutual friend of Momo's and mine. Except when I sent it to him, I sent it from the hotel with no return address. So when he got it, he thought he had a SECRET ADMIRER. I had to burst his sad, love-lost bubble.

OH, and when I was there (a hundred years ago) there was a HU~EG poster up in the New People Building main window for the first Evangelion Movie on VHS. That gives you an idea of how long ago it was!

My old account got deleted probably because I wasn't using my real name which I think is fucking retarded but whatever,

I actually wasn't impressed with the kinokuniya in san fran. It was like the one I went to in LA. Except it was sectioned off differently. I still liked it tho. I was just expecting more.

The one here in New York was just recently renovated. They have a clothing section now with an EGL section. They also have a cafe on the top floor. It's nice, but there's a lot less culture in the area. It's gotten very commercial here.

I keep hearing about this place. Obviously I will have to check it out when I go back to school there.

Its not as impressive as I thought it would have been but still cool to actually touch the clothes and walk around a cute place with yummy food.
